JAMES E. PERSINGER

James Edward Persinger, 66, died Thursday, March 14, 1996.

Mr. Persinger was born Jan. 7, 1930, in Oak Hill, W.Va., a son of the late Stanley and Nancy Elizabeth Bailey Persinger.

Surviving are three sons, Edward A. Persinger of Covington, David Williams Of Seattle, Wash., and Ralph Williams of Ormond Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Bud Fay Sedwick of Collinsesville, Va., and Mrs. Buddy May Bond of Portsmouth; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Benny Martha Carter, Mrs. Clara Kellison and Mrs. Benny Nancy Hubbard, all of Covington, and Mrs. Leslie Dorothy Rowsey of Brookneal; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held today at 3 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel, Covington, with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Covington. Memorials may be sent to Dawn Wilson, Social Work Emergency Fund, Virginia Renal Care of Covington, 2504 Valley Ridge Road, Covington, Va. 24426.
