Mary Shrader McFadden, 85, of the 300 block of Plover Drive, died Sunday, March 17, 1996, in Portsmouth.
Mrs. McFadden was a native of Netalbany, La., and the widow of Thomas P. McFadden Sr. She was retired from Sears, Betty and Bob as a buyer of children's clothes.
Survivors include a daughter, Rosemary M. Arcese and a son, Thomas ``Pop'' McFadden, both of Portsmouth; three sisters, Marjorie S. O'Brient of Boloxi, Miss., her twin sister, Sarah S. Carruth of Summit, Miss., and Laura S. Ayers of Gray, Ind.; a brother, Andrew J. Shrader Jr. of Arkansas; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by Dr. Walter Kennedy. Foster Funeral Home is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation, 20 Koger Center, Suite 233 Norfolk, Va. 23502.
