Frances Suber Martin, 80, of the 500 block of Cedar Lane, died March 17, 1996, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Martin was born in Durham, N.C., and was a homemaker and former school teacher in the Norfolk public schools. She was the widow of Howard W. Martin. She was a member of Ghent United Methodist Church in Norfolk, Thalia Garden Club and Thalia Friendship Circle of the Norfolk City Union of The King's Daughters. She was a graduate of the College of William and Mary.
Survivors include two sons, Howard W. Martin Jr. of Norfolk and Kenneth S. Martin of Virginia Beach; a brother, Clarence H. Suber Jr. of San Antonio, Texas; and three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, Ghent United Methodist Church or Norfolk Academy.
