HARRIET A. WICKS

Harriet Marie Gregory Allen Wicks, 75, of the 1400 block of Lilac Ave., died March 17, 1996, in a Chesapeake hospital.

She was retired from the credit department at Sears and Roebuck Co. and she was also a retired seamstress. She had been retired for 14 years. She was a native of Norfolk and a member of Oaklette United Methodist Church where she belonged to the United Methodist Women and was chairperson for Chesapeake Church Women United.

She is survived by her husband, William J. Wicks; daughter, Bonnie Lee Allen Young of Chesapeake; son, Paul James Allen, and his wife, Juanita, of Bland, Va.; sister, Doris Anna Gregory Harden of Chesapeake; brother, George M. Gregory, and his wife, Elsie, of Norfolk; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and a step-daughter, Frances M. Austin of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Sebert Rorrer in Oaklette United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Oaklette United Methodist Church Building Fund.
