John Lewis, 83, of the 1900 block of East Road, died March 17, 1996, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Lewis was a native of Morphou, Cyprus. He was a member of the Anunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Polly Paphites Lewis; a daughter, Mary Hope Lewis-Haughney of Hampton; two sisters, Panayiota L. Artemiou and Katholiki L. Neophidou, both of Cyprus; and two brothers, Costas Loizou of Cyprus and Efthemios Loizou of Virginia Beach.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon Wednesday at Anunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral by Father Constatine Rogakos. There will be a Trisagion service held at the funeral home today at 6 p.m. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to the Anunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 7220 Granby St. Norfolk, Va. 23505. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, , Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
