Thomas Edwin Higgins, 69, died March 13, 1996, in Stratten VA Hospital, Albany, N.Y.
He was a native of Anniston, Ala., and was a U.S. Naval veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary H. Maxwell of Virginia Beach; two sons, James Earl Higgins and Anthony Levon Higgins, both of Virginia Beach; three sisters and two brothers, still residing in Alabama; four grandchildren, Amy Maxwell, Lee Maxwell, and Katherine Ann Higgins, all of Virginia Beach, and Timothy Ambrose of Florida.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hampton National Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
