Jerome Harrell, 72, of the 1700 block of Des Moines Ave., died March 16, 1996.
Mr. Harrell was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 29 years of service. He was a member of William H. Harrison Post (NU)190 American Legion and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Nettie Harrell; a daughter, Teresa Gentry; a son, William Harrell; three brothers, Frederick Harrell, Mack Harrell Jr., Morris Harrell; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Lerome Harrell.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Friday at New Mt. Olivet Baptist Church by the Rev. M.L. Blount. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The remains will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge.
