BEVERLY A. IRELAND

Beverly Ann Ireland, the widow of Charles J. Ireland II, retired U.S. Army, of the 1600 block of Weber Ave., died March 15, 1996.

She was employed by S.T.O.P. for 29 years. She was a member of Daisey Lou Tent 651 and Eureka Lodge Ladies Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her parents, Jasper and Gennie Ashford of Orange, Texas. She was a member of Union Chapel A.M.E. Church, 1200 St. Julian Ave.

She is survived by five sons, Malcolm A. Ireland, retired U.S. Army of Monroe, N.C., Charles J. Ireland III of Norfolk, John T. Ireland and Charles Deloatch of Chesapeake, Dwain E. Ireland of Portsmouth; and two daughters, Cassandra Ireland Hopkins of Orange, Jenise Ireland of Virginia Beach; four daughters-in-law, Gloria Ireland of Monroe, Jan Ireland of Norfolk, Robin Ireland of Portsmouth, Vernokia Deloatch of Chesapeake; a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ireland of Baltimore, Md.; 10 grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Union Chapel A.M.E. Church by the Rev. Clifton Wilson. Interment will be in Hampton Veterans Cemetery. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
