J. Britten ``Head'' Saunders, 79, of the first block of Windsor Blvd., died March 19, 1996, at his residence.
Mr. Saunders, a retired sheet metal mechanic, worked for Robinson Body Works, Windsor. He was a native of Isle of Wight County, Va., and a member of Windsor Baptist Church, Windsor.
Survivors include his wife, Fannie W. Saunders; two sisters, Hortense S. Fowler of Carrsville and Adelaide S. Worrell of Windsor; and a brother, Miles M. Saunders Sr. of Windsor. He was predeceased by his parents, Mabel Robinson Saunders and Jesse D. Saunders.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. James B. Crocker. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence.
