Elbert Lee ``Buster'' Baker, 72, of the 3600 block of Humboldt St., died March 18, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Baker was a fire inspector for the city of Norfolk and retired after 32 years of service. He was born in Gove, Kansas.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen D. ``Pat'' Baker of Norfolk; a daughter Linda B. Suit of Norfolk; a son, James Ross Baker of Wimberly, Texas; three sisters, Opal Borsky of Coos Bay, Oregon; Carolyn Jamison of Quinter, Kansas; Juanita Graham of Scottsdale, Ariz.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of foster children.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel.
