Norfolk City Manager James B. Oliver Jr. has announced the appointment of Nancy C. Tracy as finance director effective immediately.
Tracy moves to Norfolk's top financial post after serving as acting director for 15 months. She is responsible for managing, planning and establishing accounting policies and procedures, overseeing financial statement preparation, supervision of cash investments, administration of the capital bond program, and directing the procurement of goods and services for city operations.
A certified public accountant, she holds a bachelor's degree in music education from James Madison University and did acounting and post-graduate course work at Old Dominion University. by CNB
