Alfred Sylvio DiRosa Sr., 66, of the 7600 block of Nancy Drive, died March 19, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mr. DiRosa was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Miriam S. DiRosa; four daughters, Carol Webb of Suffolk, Teresa Jacobs of Greenwood, Ind., Lucinda Shelby of Virginia Beach and Angela Kahler of Windsor, Conn.; two sons, Alfred DiRosa Jr. of Norfolk and Andrew DiRosa of Woodbridge, Va.; two sisters, Lillian Fama of Long Island, N.Y., and Sara DeRosa of Modica, Sicily; and 10 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Ted Bashford. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Union Mission, 130 Brooke Ave., Norfolk 23510. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
