CLARENCE BOOTH SR.

Clarence ``Skip'' Booth Sr., 49, of the 1600 block of Spratley St., died March 18, 1996, at Autumn Care of Portsmouth.

Mr. Booth, a kitchen manager, worked for Shoney's Restaurant for 10 years. He was a native of Norfolk County, Va. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah M. Booth; two stepdaughters, Lisa Jones and Tracy Booth, both of Portsmouth; a son, Clarence Booth Jr. of Portsmouth; his mother, Annie L. Booth of Portsmouth; a sister, Relecter Booth of Portsmouth; a brother, George T. Booth of Portsmouth; four grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Nakita Booth; a son-in-law, Raymond Jones; a sister-in-law, Gertrude Y. Booth; a brother-in-law, William T. Powell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. W.S. Hampton and the Rev. Ronnie D. Joyner. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon Friday. The family will be at 1306 Lakeview Drive, Portsmouth, but will assemble for the funeral at 1613 Spratley St., Portsmouth. The body will be taken to the church at 9 a.m. Saturday.
