Wesley Hunter Jr., 38, died Sunday March 17, 1996, at his home.
He grew up and was educated in Newport News Public Schools, was a 1975 graduate of Menchville High School, and studied two years at Hampton University.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hunter Sr.; a son, Ian Williams, all of Newport News; two brothers, Ronald Wesley Hunter and Michael Louis Hunter; three sisters, Cheryl Hunter of Silver, and Angela Hunter McIntyre and Regina L. Hunter of Newport News; seven nieces; six nephews; a great-nephew; a great-niece; two paternal uncles; two maternal aunts; three great-aunts; a great-uncle; and a host of beloved cousins, other family and friends.
Viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home by Mr. James Callahan. The family will be receiving family and friends at the home of the deceased, 87-30th St., Newport News, nightly between 7 and 10 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at the home of his parents, 1141-42nd St., Newport News, Friday at noon. Interment will be in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
