Juanita J. Barnes of the 2600 block of Princess Anne Road died March 18, 1996, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
She was a homemaker and a native of Norfolk. She was a member of United House of Prayer for All People (NU)1, was involved in the usher board and was a choir member.
Survivors include two daughters, Marian Elizabeth Barnes of Chesapeake and Susan Valdese Smith of Virginia Beach; a son, Leon Augustus Barnes of Monroeville, Pa.; a brother, Quincy Jennings of Tampa, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday at United House of Prayer for All People (NU)1 by Elder Maurice Huff. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Friday. The family will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.
