COMET WATCH

NASA's Visitor Center at the Wallops Flight Facility will sponsor a ``comet watch'' on Saturday from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Comet Hyakutake should be visible to the naked eye. Scientists expect it to be the brightest comet since Comet West in 1976. Wallops Island, far from city lights, should be an excellent viewing spot.

Computers at the center will provide the latest photographs of Comet Hyakutake from around the world.

Participants should bring refreshments and binoculars. Alcoholic beverages will not be permitted.

The NASA Visitor Center is on Route 175 about five miles from Chincoteague, and six miles from Route 13. Admission is free. For more information, call (804) 824-2297 or 824-1344. by CNB
