Mildred H. Hudgins, 88, died March 19, 1996, at Walter Reed Convalescent Center, Gloucester, Va.
She was a a native of Gwynns Island and had lived there most of her life. She was a member of Gwynns Island Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. and Senora Machem Hudgins, and a brother, Robert L. Hudgins. She is survived by two sisters, Doris Hudgins Ward of Portsmouth and Roberta L. Hudgins James of Hampton, Va.; brother-in-law, John L. James of Hampton; niece, Sonia James Dillman and Dick Dillman of Wilmington, N.C.; two nephews, Bill and E.J. Ward of Gum Fork Road in Gloucester, and Bob and Frances Ward of Suffolk; and several great-nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at Foster Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va., Friday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held March 23, 1996, at 11 a.m. at Gwynns Island Baptist Church with Pastor Bryan Russell. Burial will follow in the Gwynns Island Cemetery in the family plot. Arrangements by Foster Faulkner Funeral Home of Mathews. Should friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Mathews Rescue Squad in her name.
