Julia F. Britt, 71, of 101 Holland Circle, died March 17, 1996, at Obici Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Hertford County, N.C.
Mrs. Britt was a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ida Hill. Survivors include her husband, Edward H. Britt; a son, Harrison L. Britt of Forestville, Md.; three daughters, Francis L. Sumblin and Sandra Britt both of Franklin, Va., and Sheila Cumbo of Columbia, S.C.; four brothers, Willie Hill of Edenton, N.C., Andrew Hill of Murfreesboro, N.C., and Tommie Hill and Jessie Hill of Portsmouth, Va.; three sisters, Channie Baily of Portsmouth, Va., Missouri Bates of Baltimore, Md., and Lucille Riddick of Franklin, Va.; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Mount Sinai Baptist Church, the Rev. Frank Lee officiating. Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
