Mary Helen Jones, 87, of the 5300 block of Carolina Road, died Thursday, March 21, 1996, in Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.
Miss Jones was born in Suffolk. She was the daughter of the late Richard H. and Mrs. Emma Savage Jones. She was a retired nurse and a member of Parker's United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one brother, Paul T. Jones of Elizabeth City, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, N.C., by the Rev. Kenneth Bunch. Burial will follow in Parker's United Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Sarah Lucille Jones, 5352 Carolina Road, Suffolk, and following the service in the social hall of Parker's Church.
