School Board members took the following actions at the March 19 meeting.
Approved paying the legal fees of Tim Jackson and Ferdinand V. Tolentino related to the special grand jury report up to $25,000. Legal expenses in excess of that amount would have to come back to the board for additional consideration.
Board member Karen O. O'Brien voted against it. Board member Delceno Miles, serving at her first meeting, abstained.
Approved meet and confer agreements for next year with bus drivers and assistants, secretaries and clerical staff, teachers and other staff.
Approved a list of equipment and vehicles to be auctioned April 20 at the old Oceana High School campus, 1612 New York Ave.
All the items, including computer and copier equipment, are either obsolete or beyond economical repair, school officials said. In previous years, the event has raised $10,000 to $12,000.

Agreed to changes in the fees some groups and organizations pay to use school facilities. The list of charges had not been updated in almost 10 years, school officials said.
Among the changes, neighborhood, athletic and nonprofit youth groups that previously were not charged for using school kitchens or gymnasiums will now be charged $12.50 an hour.
