The City Council took the following actions at its meeting on Tuesday: Request by John H. and Leona C. Williamson for a zoning reclassification of property at 104 Cedar Road from residential to office and institutional district. Denied, 9-0. Request by Edward and Vanessa Fitzgerald for rezoning of property at 2333 Cedar Road from single-family residential district to assembly center. Approved, 9-0. Request by Tomytow Inc. to operate a junk and salvage yard at 1300 Cavalier Blvd. in Deep Creek. Approved with stipulations, 9-0. Request by GTE South Inc. to locate an 800-square-foot unmanned public facility building at 1407 S. Centerville Turnpike. Approved with stipulations, 9-0. Request by Corinne Greene and Mable Wilson for a conditional use permit to operate an adult day care facility at 1209 Shell Road. Approved with stipulations, 9-0. An amendment to the Chesapeake Comprehensive Plan to establish a trails plan which specifies the goals, objectives and implementation strategies for the provision of a comprehensive trails system throughout the city. Approved, 9-0.
