JOHN A. CREECY JR.

John Arthur ``Snooty Boy'' Creecy Jr., 46, of the 300 block of Monterey Drive, died March 21, 1996, in a local hospital.

Born in the Chesapeake, South Norfolk section, he was a member of Greater St. Andrew's AME Church, Queen City Section, Chesapeake. He was a laborer for Creecy's Auto Body Mechanic Shop. He served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Harris Creecy of Chesapeake; two daughters, Mecha Creecy and Johne Nichols, both of Chesapeake; two stepdaughters, Sherita Harris and Cassandra Nichols, both of Chesapeake; one son, Brenton Nichols of Chesapeake; two stepsons, Perry Harris and Byron Nichols, both of Chesapeake; parents, Rosa Mae Creecy and Arthur Creecy, both of Chesapeake; sisters, Sheila Saunders, Deborah Duke, Annette Creecy, Andrea Miller, all of Chesapeake, and Sharon Creecy of Norfolk; three brothers, James Creecy, Christopher Creecy, Corey Creecy, all of Chesapeake; two grandmothers, Mrs. Celie Creecy of Chesapeake and Mrs. Ruth Beale of Virginia Beach; a devoted friend, Wanda Nichols of Chesapeake and a host of aunts, uncle, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Gregory K. Jones in Greater St. Andrews A.M.E. Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Friends will assemble at 1792 Parrish St., Chesapeake, on Monday at noon for a funeral procession. Metropolitan Funeral Home in charge.
