A Virginia Beach man was charged with a fourth offense of driving under the influence Saturday in connection with a single-car accident this week, according to police spokesman Mike Carey.
Daniel J. Wozleck, 38, of the 700 block of Bottino Lane, was charged with drunken driving Saturday after being released from Norfolk Sentara General Hospital, Carey said. Wozleck was being treated there for a head injury related to the accident.
Wozleck also was charged with a sixth offense of driving without an operator's license. He was being held in Virginia Beach jail on a $6,000 surety bond Saturday.
According to police reports, Wozleck drove his 1988 Nissan off the side of DeLaura Lane at 2:10 a.m. Wednesday and crashed into a tree in the Aragona neighborhood. At the time, Wozleck was out on bond for a previous DUI offense from March 5, Carey said.
Wozleck faces trial in Virginia Beach traffic court June 25. He will be tried April 2 on his previous drunken driving charge, Carey said.
