Local police are asking public assistance in solving these cases:
PORTSMOUTH
On Feb. 16, about 5 p.m. a man walked into Laundry World in the 2000 block of Victory Blvd. and pointed a gun at the clerk. The gunman demanded and took all the money from the register, fled through the back door and left in a vehicle.
The suspect is described as black, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing a black sweatshirt and blue jeans.
CHESAPEAKE
On March 13, about 6:45 p.m., a woman getting out of her car in the 800 block of Greenbrier Circle was approached by a man who asked for money.
He assaulted and robbed her and then fled.
The suspect is described as white, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 190 pounds, with long curly hair and a full beard. He was wearing a toboggan-style hat, a red plaid shirt and blue jeans.
VIRGINIA BEACH
On Jan. 31, about 2:30 a.m., the 7-Eleven on 17th Street and Pacific Avenue at the Oceanfront was robbed.
The scene was caught on video by surveillance cameras.
A woman walked into the store and then picked up a 12-pack of beer.
She then told the clerk she had a gun and backed out of the store.
The suspect is described as white, in her 20s, at least 6 feet tall with dark hair to her shoulders. She was wearing a brown suede jacket, jeans, and black boots.
HAMPTON
Jeremy Andre Hawkes, 20, is wanted for shooting into an occupied dwelling, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and maiming.
Hawkes is described as black, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 140 pounds.
James Randy Barber Jr., 38, is wanted for robbery, abduction and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
