A 22-year-old woman was killed in a domestic dispute in the city's Ocean View section early Saturday, according to police reports.
Police were called to the home of Bernadette Sanders of the 9600 block of 18th Bay St. at 3:13 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Johnny Lamar Echols, 25, of the same address, was later charged with murder and illegal use of a firearm.
He is scheduled to appear in Norfolk's Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on Monday at 10 a.m.
