Cmdr. Ralph F. Monger, U.S.N. (Ret.), 77, of the 8100 block of Tidal Road, died March 23, 1996, in his residence.
He was a native of Greeneville, Tenn. A graduate of Emory & Henry College in Emory, Va., he had retired from the U.S. Navy after 27 years of service. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Sewells Point Golf Club.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia W. Monger; and many friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends this evening from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
