Henry Michael McCarthy, 50, of the 1200 block of Westmoreland Ave., died March 23, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. McCarthy, a native of Norfolk, graduated from Maury High School and attended Old Dominion University. He was a member of the K.A. Fraternity. He served in the U.S. Army and attained the rank of captain.
Survivors include two daughters, Lauren McCarthy of Virginia Beach and Julie McCarthy of Norfolk; four brothers, James McCarthy of Nashville, Tenn., Joseph McCarthy of Severna Park, Md., John McCarthy of Charlottesville, Va., and Benjamin McCarthy of Boca Raton, Fla.; his mother, Mary Manning McCarthy of Norfolk; and two grandchildren, Shelby and Mickey McCarthy.
A chapel service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, by Dr. Donald J. Dunlap. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
