William H. ``Billy'' Hewitt Sr., 58, died March 24, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mr. Hewitt was born in Norfolk. He was a retired master plumber and a member of Grandy Assembly of God.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Ruth Hewitt Brickhouse; five sons, William H. ``Billy'' Hewitt Jr. of Jarvisburg, Ricky Lee Hewitt Sr. of Aydlett, Robert Dean Hewitt Sr., David Wayne Hewitt and Jeremy Dale Hewitt, all of Chesapeake; two sisters, Betty Jean Hewitt Wells of Norfolk and Linda Montague Pallette of Roanoke, Va.; a brother, Marshall Eli Hewitt of Virginia Beach; a grandchild; two great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Diane Hewitt of Aydlett and Sandra Bell Hewitt of Jarvisburg.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, by Dr. Douglas Harn. Burial will be in Laurel Memorial Gardens, Grandy.
