MARGARET R. SANDERLIN

Margaret Ritter Sanderlin, 89, of the 100 block of Beverly Ave., died March 23, 1996, in Virginia Beach.

She was born in Portsmouth and retired from civil service at the Naval Air Station. She was the widow of Joseph Garrett Sanderlin Sr. and a member of Calvary Temple in Norfolk and Order of the Eastern Star, Old Dominion Chapter (NU)100.

Survivors include a daughter, Effie Sanderlin Robinson and husband Frank Jr. of Norfolk; a son, Joseph G. Sanderlin Jr. and wife June Faye of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Jo Lynn S. Staton of Roanoke, Va., and Joseph G. Sanderlin III of Columbus, Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Daniel Keith Staton of Roanoke and Allen Garrett Sanderlin of Columbus.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Lamar Sentell. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Please make memorial donations to the Union Mission of Norfolk or to a charity of your choice.
