HERMAN WEINTROB

Herman Weintrob, 80, of the 500 block of Darden Ave., died March 23, 1996.

A native of Cambridge, Md., he was a son of the late David and Jennie Rosenberg Weintrob. He was predeceased by his brother, Samuel M. Weintrob and his sister, Esther W. Farber. Mr. Weintrob was the owner and operator of The Bootery from 1947 to 1985. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Post (NU)57 American Legion-Suffolk, Agudath Achim Congregation, B'Nai Brith Association and a life member of Hadassah.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Louise Sheffer Weintrob; a daughter, Marjorie W. Lieberman of Arlington; a son, Joseph S. Weintrob of Norfolk; and three grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Holly Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Michael Panitz. The family will receive friends at 510 Darden Ave. today and on Tuesday the family will be at the son's home, 7000 Hunter Avenue in Norfolk. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
