A Coast Guard helicopter takes off from Mount Trashmore in Virginia
Beach during Sunday's Flight Fair '96. The four-hour event, held by
the city's Parks and Recreation Department, featured kite-flying and
hang-gliding activities, as well as a closeup look at the
helicopter. At left, Chris Hanes watches the festivities with his
sons, 4-year-old Cody, on his back, and 6-year-old Joseph. The sunny
afternoon felt like spring, with the region's highs climbing into
