J.K. GRAY JR.

James Kelly ``J.K.'' Gray Jr., 73, of 205 Hunterdale Road, died March 25, 1996.

He was a native of Branchville and was the son of the late James K. Gray Sr. Mr. Gray was a retired machine operator at Champion International, Franklin. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member and former deacon of Franklin Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Register Gray; his mother, Maude Story Gray of Chesapeake; two sons, James L. Gray and his wife, Ilene of Dover, Del., and David S. Gray of Franklin; two sisters, Katherine Miltier of Virginia Beach, and Annie Maude Allen of San Antonio, Texas; and two grandchildren, Stephanie and Rebecca Gray.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Franklin Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Roy DeBrand and the Rev. Sharon James. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the Franklin Baptist Church or the Franklin Fire and Rescue Squad.
