Jack ``Godfather'' Gerber, 86, died Saturday, March 23, 1996, in the VA Hospital in Hampton.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received an honorable discharge. He was a prior business owner in Norfolk.
He is survived by his daughter, Eva Carpenter of Virginia Beach; two sons, Leroy Brazzell of Virginia Beach and Wayne Brazzell of Tennessee; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted by Rabbi Samuel Sobel today at 7 p.m. and visitation will follow in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel. Burial will be in Quantico National Cemetery at 11 a.m. Thursday.
