WILLIAM H. HARRIS

William H. ``Chuck'' Harris, 77, of the 200 block of West 113th St., died March 20, 1996, at St. Luke Hospital, New York.

Mr. Harris, a self-employed businessman, was a native of Norfolk County. He formerly attended Gilmerton Star A.M.E.Z. Church, Chesapeake. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He attended Norfolk County Public Schools and Norfolk State College.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Daughtry Harris; two daughters, Mable H. Pugh of Chesapeake, Claudia Riddick of Portsmouth; a son, Paul R. Harris of Maryland; a sister, Helen H. Cox of Chesapeake; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a devoted cousin, Adell Hunt of Chesapeake; a devoted son-in-law, Martin Pugh; and a host of other cousins, in-laws, and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Estella Williams Jones.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Moses Blount Sr. The family will be at the home of his daughter, 320 Dexter St., Chesapeake. The family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. today for the service. Corprew Funeral Home is in charge.
