Kathleen La Chance, 72, died March 23, 1996, at her residence.
Mrs. La Chance, the widow of Robert A. La Chance, was a native of Alberta, Canada.
Survivors include four daughters, Kathleen La Chance of Boston, Mass., Marie Young of Virginia Beach, Lilli Matlock of Erie, Pa., and Betsy Brewer of Shelbyville, Ind.; three sons, Albert La Chance and John La Chance, both of Virginia Beach, and William La Chance of Shelbyville; two sisters, Burna Baron of White Rock, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and Frances Stevenson of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and a brother, Fred Crawford of Edmonton, Alberta.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hampton National Cemetery by the Rev. Paul D. Moore. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Foundations.
