A 43-year-old man who called 911 and then quit breathing was revived by two police officers using CPR, authorities said Monday.
Police spokeswoman Amber Whitaker said the man was barely conscious Sunday when he dialed the emergency number from his home in the 3400 block of Wheatfield Court shortly after noon. He had trouble telling the call-taker what was wrong, Whitaker said.
Police officers Linda Thomas and J.A. Hughes forced their way into the home and found the man unconscious in an upstairs bedroom. He wasn't breathing, Whitaker said.
Whitaker said the officers used CPR and revived the man. He was awake when rescue workers arrived a few minutes later.
The man's name was not released. His condition was not available.
