Columnist Charlise Lyles criticized the lineup of shows at the new amphitheater. I point out a few things:
1. A promoter cannot promote a show that is not on tour.
2. A promoter is out to book the shows that will make money.
The groups in the lineup Cellar Door has announced are all bands that have already announced their summer tours.
Cellar Door is a first-class company that is known all over the country and has been a successful promoter for years. Let's give it a chance before we start implying racism.
I hope the city of Virginia Beach and Cellar Door have a very long and successful run with the new amphitheater.
