Helen Elizabeth Harris, of the 700 block of W. 28th St., died March 25, 1996, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Harris, the widow of Willie Harris, was a retired domestic worker. She was a native of Norfolk and a member of Oakwood Chapel Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Whitfield of Virginia Beach; a son, Van Ware of Norfolk; two sisters, Corine Hawkins and Vernice Fontaine, both of Norfolk; a brother, Stanford Ware of Norfolk; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Chapel Church by Bishop C.N. White. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
