A Florida fugitive was arrested by federal agents near Gate 4 of the Norfolk Naval Base Monday morning while he was visiting a Navy friend, the FBI announced.
Marcos A. Millian, 23, is wanted in connection with two armed robberies and a murder in Ft. Lauderdale, the FBI said.
On Jan. 15, two men carrying handguns robbed a clerk at a beeper store, tying her up while her infant watched. On Jan. 29, two armed men robbed a cellular phone dealer. When he resisted, he was shot and killed. Millian is a suspect in the robberies and shooting, federal authorities said.
Millian, who was arrested without incident Monday, was carrying a small handgun, the FBI said. He is being held in Norfolk City Jail awaiting extradition to Florida.
