The Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools has lost two more girls basketball coaches.
Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's Larry Riggs and Cape Henry's Kim Aston have resigned.
Riggs, also the business manager at the school, plans to retire to South Carolina.
``I just thought it was time,'' said Riggs, who coached the Saints for six years. ``I just want to enjoy my life.''
During his tenure, Riggs led Nansemond-Suffolk to two regular-season titles and three tournament championships while compiling a 125-18 record.
Aston, a Deep Creek Middle School physical education teacher, plans to continue her coaching duties at Western Branch High School.
Joanne Renn, the longtime coach at Norfolk Academy, resigned in November to take a full-time position at Virginia Wesleyan as the assistant women's basketball coach and head women's tennis coach.
Applications are being accepted for the N-SA and Cape Henry positions.
Applicants should contact either Nansemond-Suffolk athletic director Betty Jean Riddick or Cape Henry athletic director Tim Davis. by CNB
