Trilby M. Dowdy, 81, of Cypress Road, died March 27, 1996, in Chesapeake.
She was a native of South Norfolk, Va.
She is survived by her husband, John Nelson Dowdy; daughter, Brenda Dowdy Johnson of Colonial Heights, Va.; three sisters, Ellen Dozier and Jewel VanVleek, both of Chesapeake, and Lois Frias of Virginia Beach; granddaughter, Leslie H. Martin, and her husband, Michael M. Martin, of Richmond, Va.; sister-in-law, Alease McGlaughon of Portsmouth.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Penny Wilson in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. The family will be at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, Chesapeake, today from 7 to 8 p.m.
