Russell Hill, 59, died March 25, 1996.
He was a native of Chocowinity, N.C., and the son of the late Maebell Edwards Cooper.
He is survived by one sister, Jean Smith, and her husband, Don of Bergenfield, N.J.; brother, William H. Cooper Jr., and his wife, Regina of Madison, Ala.; and four nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Wayne Blythe. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
