Marie White Hayman, 80, of the 200 block of Woodford Drive, died Tuesday, March 26, 1996, at her residence.
Mrs. Hayman was born in Statesville, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Austin Alexander and Kate Elizabeth Howard White. She was a member of Rosemont Christian Church. Mrs. Hayman was a retired self-employed hairdresser who after retirement was employed as a telephone counselor with the Christian Broadcasting Network.
Survivors include her husband, William D. Hayman Sr.; her daughter, Carolyne Yates of Chesapeake; her son, Daniel Howard Hayman of Amherst, Va.; her stepson, William D. Hayman Jr. of Chesapeake; two sisters, Lena W. Franklin of Bassett, Va. and Ellery W. Adams of Martinsville, Va.; her brother, Howard H. White of Bassett, Va.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Robert Harrell. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Hayman. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rosemont Christian Church or the Christian Broadcasting Network.
