Golden J. Brinson
GATESVILLE - Golden Jones Brinson, 79, of Route 1, died Tuesday, March 26, 1996.
Mrs. Brinson was born in Gates County. The daughter of the late Reddick and Mrs. Ina Smith Jones, she was the retired owner/operator of Brinson's Grocery. She was a member of Middle Swamp Baptist Church and Gatesville Chapter (NU)335, the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are husband, Garland A. Brinson; two sisters, Rosa Mae Byrum of Edenton and Helen Raynor of Raleigh; two half-sisters, Christine Greene of Eure and Mary Ann Parker of Chesapeake; one brother, Frank Saunders of Portsmouth; one half-brother, Carl Jones of Gatesville; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Middle Swamp Baptist Church by the Rev. Joseph Buck. Entombment will follow in the family mausoleum in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home.
