Oscar Roland Boyd, 60, died March 26, 1996, in Chesapeake.
He was a retired First Class Petty Officer-Corpsman for the U.S. Navy. He was also employed with Priority Trucking Co. as a truck driver. He was a native of Coatesville, Pa., and was a Protestant. He was a U.S. Naval veteran of Vietnam.
He is survived by a daughter, Rosa Leigh Boyd of Chesapeake; two sisters, Rosa Golt of Ridgley, Md., Olga Nickerson of Goldsboro, Md.; brother, Marvin Boyd of Smyrna, Del.; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Edward Charles Davidson in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. Burial is in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
