JAMES A. FREEMAN

James A. Freeman, of the 1400 block of Roundhill Drive, died March 25, 1996.

He was a native of New York and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. He was a member of New York Patrolmen's Benevolent Association.

He is survived by his wife, Othel Y. Freeman; daughter, Monisa Ya Bey of New York; son, Alexander Freeman of New York; stepson, Freddie Lee Yancey of Germantown, Md.; two sisters, Gloria Johnson of Virginia Beach and Vivian Bannister of Windchester, Mass.; brother, Richard Freeman of Bronx, N.Y.; a grandchild; two aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. William D. Scott in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Garden, Norfolk. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.
