The City Council took the following action at its meeting Tuesday: Joint Public Hearing with Planning Commission on the city manager's recommended 1996-2001 Capital Improvement Plan.

Ordinance to amend the Zoning Ordinance to add conditions for locating and screening above ground utility structures, and showing the location of such utility structures on site development plan submissions.

Approved, 7-0

Resolution granting the Group Housing project application of Herbert G. Drier for four residential townhouse units at 5645 Parish Lane.

Approved, 6-0-1; Robinette abstained

Ordinance to appropriate $400,000 from the Capital Improvements Fund for construction of a work release/-laundry facility for the city jail.

Approved, 7-0

Motion authorizing the city manager to enter into a contract with the lowest responsible bidder.

Ordinance to appropriate $175,000 from the Capital Improvements Fund for the Cavalier Boulevard Project.
