BACK TALK

THE MAJORITY of our Teenspeak callers were in agreement that boot camp could be more effective than juvenile detention homes.

I think boot camp is an excellent idea. It shows kids responsibility and will show them that getting in trouble is not worth it. - Kelly Fishel, 13, Lynnhaven Middle School

I do believe that juvenile boot camp could be more effective than the detention homes. The rules and people at the boot camp would be more harsh than the detention home. - Brandon Foster Gray, 13, Indian River Middle School

What might be good for one could be difficult for another. Some aren't good with discipline and that might cause more trouble while they are at boot camp. Being rebellious and getting in fights. . . they could take that and turn that around into a bad situation. - Gina Morozowski, 17, Great Bridge High School by CNB
