MYRON B. WHITE

Myron Burdette White, 71, of Route 1, Greenwood, Doddridge County, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 1996, following an extended illness.

He was born in Elk Lick, Oct. 12, 1924, a son of the late Leslie M. White and Minnie Dell Freeman White.

Mr. White retired as a senior chief petty officer after 26 years of service with the U.S. Navy, where he served during World War II, the Korean Conflict, and Vietnam.

His wife, Betty Louise Stevens White, whom he married Aug. 1, 1948, survives. Also surviving are two sons, Thomas Lee ``Tom'' White, Virginia Beach, Va., and Orvil Leslie White, Pembroke, N.C.; one sister, Bertha Watson, Portersville, Pa.; six grandsons; one granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
