EDWIN E. PANGLE

Edwin Earl Pangle, 59, died March 28, 1996 in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk.

He was a native of Chattanooga, Tenn., a veteran of the U.S. Army, the owner of Pangle's Auto Service in Windsor, and a member of Churchland Assembly of God Church, Portsmouth.

Mr. Pangle is survived by his wife, Betty Ewell Pangle; a son, Robert Earl Pangle of Suffolk; two daughters, Lisa Pangle-Padilla of Portsmouth and Phyllis Jean Wiggins of Windsor; two sisters, Wilma P. Hogge of Norfolk and Christine P. Nelson of California; one brother, James Donald Pangle of Florida and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Oliver and Pansy Butler Pangle.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 30, at 11 a.m. in the Churchland Assembly of God Church, Portsmouth, by Rev. Larry O'Brien and Rev. Jerry Sauls. Burial in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Friends may call 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Purviance Funeral Home Chapel, Wakefield. Memorial donations may be made to the Churchland Assembly of God Church building fund, 4209 Twin Pines Road, Portsmouth, VA 23703.
